FOR COOL BARS WITH DANCING: The Distillery, Rumour, Craft Cafebar

Abroad, there’s places for drinking (bars) and there’s places for dancing (clubs). In the Philippines, there’s not much of a distinction between the two: places normally start with people sitting down and drinking together, and later in the night people start standing up and dancing and the whole place turns into a dance club.

Some locals prefer to hang out in these places because there’s no door charge and because it acts like the local neighborhood bar--when you come in your bar of choice, you’re bound to find a friend or acquaintance lurking.
